Should music that promotes and glorifies illegal drug use be banned?

I'm referring to rap, heavy metal, club music, or anything else that glorifies drugs and encourages others to use them. Is promoting illegal activity and encouraging kids to use illegal substances really protected under the 1st amendment? Is that really what the founding fathers meant when they referred to freedom of speech?
Answer:
If they can bann God fron school, then why not ?
No.
banning any type of language is cultural marxism and parallels "newspeak" from george orwell's "1984"

violoation of our first amendment right. if you dont want to hear it, then change the station
Founding fathers, huh? Does Thomas Jefferson work for you? He wrote this about the freedom of speech, it says nothing about suppressing speech on illegal or immoral behavior.

"I like [the declaration of rights] as far as it goes, but I should have been for going further. For instance, the following alterations and additions would have pleased me:

Article 4. The people shall not be deprived or abridged of their right to speak, to write, or otherwise to publish anything but false facts affecting injuriously the life, liberty, property or reputation of others, or affecting the peace of the confederacy with foreign nations.
absolutely.. it is your opinion that this language is detrimental to children. It may be the view of another person that listening to this music actually allows children to have a first hand experience with drugs and educate them as to the reality of hte situation.

Whether you agree with something or not, the right to say it should be protected under the first amendment. If they go after the drug-language today, then tomorrow they go after something else, and the next day its another aspect of language.. how long before they take away something you believe you have the right to say???
That is, of course, if EVERYONE (and every single person, NO exceptions) who listened to these genres of music became an illegal drug user. But the truth is that, not all of them do- listening to that kind of music is a choice, not something forced down inside their heads. Movies and music can inspire you to a certain extent, but when you do something wrong, you can't just say, "That movie made me do that" or "That song ruined my life".
It is protected by the First Amendment, just like a song entitled "Impeach Bush" would be legal. What is illegal is actual drug use and any actions which contributes to the delinquency of minors.
