Should marijuana be legalized??

Answer:
Absolutely!

Marijuana and heroin can both be legalized and used and controlled as painkillers the way hospitals now use morphine. We could tax both and use that money to fund treatment centers for those who get addicted. When my aunt was dying of cancer many years ago, morphine became useless against her pain in the latter stages of the disease. So my uncle acquired heroin and she died peacefully and comfortably.

There are valid arguments against such legalization but they are outweighed by the many beneficial uses legalizing both drugs would provide.

One such benefit would be an instant, life-supporting economy for the people of Afghanistan. They could rid themselves of violent warlords and set up a legitimate trade enterprise to supply the world with the best painkillers available.
i think it should you dont really get any harmful effects as much as they say. its like smoking a cig it should be legal
No, I believe we have enough legal mind altering drugs. Why invite more of this into society so we can have more lunatics running around. People need to deal with life and all of its issues without resorting to have your mind altered to deal with them.
I REELEY DINT
NOW, PRABABLI BAKSE IMM ALLWAY
STUNED
Oh yes, absolutely. Research showed that countries were soft-drugs als legalised, have a low level of addicts. Much lower. It's proven, by many Universities. Holland is rather drugsfree in comparison with, for example the US, the UK or Germany. And soft-drugs like marijuana aren't really harming.
YEP!
Ya, sure so everybody could be running around stupid?

What do I care... anybody who smokes is retarded and the smell + the toxins are bad for me

Atleast marijuana doesn't have any effects on the guy walking by
yes i think it should because we have teenagers out here doing all kinds of drugs when they should be getting their education.
As that is the best way to ensure that it is more difficult for children to obtain, as demonstrated by tobacco, Yes
Absolutely yes!! 100% Yoo HOOO!!! Someone thinks the way I do!!!

momto3---

Yes it was made illegal for SOME reason...educate yourself and find out WHY....

You show your ignorance and sheepish mindless thinking....

EDIT AGAIN---

As i am sure that you aren't even educated enought to THINK for YOURSELF...

It was made illegal in 1937 due to a large influx of Mexicans into the US...Harry Anslinger wanted to find a way to put them into jail and since they were known to smoke marijuana it was made illegal throught the marijuana tax act...

UGH I HATE STUPID PEOPLE

Look it up...

Marijuana Tax Act

There cut and paste....all you have to do is read....although...that might be tough on you too..
No. I don't think so. It was made illegal for a reason at some point - so now all of a sudden that reason doesn't exist?? I'm not sure I fully agree with the whole medicinal view of it either. There are more than enough pills that are FDA approved and regulated that I'm sure you can find one for pain. Let's just keep it at that. Keep the illegal drugs just that, illegal.

**EDIT: After reading some of your responses - it appears that it doesn't matter if it's illegal or not - most of your responders sound as if they have already used the drug this morning!!! Cmon!!!!**
yes . And I don`t SMOKE
