Should MF Hussain be pardoned by the country and allowed to return to India or given a lifelong exile?

M.F Hussian, the controversial artist, famous for drawing nude and senseless pictures of Hindu Gods and Godesses, including that of the most controversial Mother India, is unable to return back.

He has more than 24 court cases pending against him..what does Indian's think should be done with him?
Answer:
This hypocrate lived on footpaths, earned his bread and butter by painting hoardings for films in front of the theatres and is one of the illiterates flying high in Indian society. He should be allowed to return back to India, being a citizen of the country. However, he should be booked under the Indian laws and should face the trials in the courts, as per law. If he fails to return to the country, his property should be acquired by the government and he should be forcefully brought to the country to face the trials and punishments as per the law. Patriots have the moral right of snapping all kind of relationships with the people they hate on account of shameless actions by anybody, including the VIPs.

well he is an artist and according to me artists should be given full freedom to express his/her creativity.. and about it showing hindu goddesses.. well the paints and the statues that we see in temples and historic monuments are far more e-r-o-t-i-c than what he has painted.. so according to me... he should just say a sorry to the people related to this religion cause well thats the best way to get rid of the problem and should be allowed to come back..

I agree what MF Hussain has done is insane. A person has no good character if he carves nude pics or imagine things dirty no matter how great artist he is. But tell me.. does the ancient idols were carved or painted with dress? I visited Mahabalipuram %26 Ajanta ellora %26 meenakshi temple...all the sculptures were nude. I felt ashamed to see the sculpture of women naked %26 were considered as the wonders of the world. Disgusting thing is ...we never thought about it but chasing an individual...coz he painted Gods nude. Shame on us. Lets first realise about the sculptures being potrayed nude. Let's do something about that first.

Let him stay where ever he is and ignore him.People who hurt religious sentiments of
fellow citizens are not worth remembering.
He can now paint the naked or croked paintings of the local Gods where ever he is
and enjoy the consequences.Certainly he will repent for the rest of his life.

Well, that M F should not be given any pardon for insulting people of other religion. If he is an artist, why don't he draw nude picture of his prophet or his wife? Why don't he paint them nude standing and praying in Mecca? He should stay and live in exile where ever he is protected. Has he painted nude picture of his prophet, a fatwa would have been issued and some one would have made sure he is lying nude under ground and rotting in his grave.

and i also think that all the cases that accuse him of indecency should be cancelled straight away

MF Hussain is mischievously insulting the Hindus Deities, Gods and Goddesses and provoking peace loving Hindus. He should be rubbed %26 crushed. Unfortunately he is being protected and sheltered by Hindus only. Senseless? Im sorry have You even NOTICED any of the ancient scultures in India?? belur,halebedu for eg??
Heck even the recent stone statues have Krishna and Radha in all their glory(well maybe only radha and not Krishna but get the point)

I may or may not approve of the Mother India's Painting(technically speaking it looks like any 4 yr old with crayons could have drawn it)
All these stuff about most things nude or not so nude is more than exaggerated in india,and is done so recklessly it looks like people will start making baseless cases as well.
Just like an artist can paint anything senseless to express his art so can a person senselessly make court cases as well.
Its better to ditch what to do with a mostly talentless artist and go on ahead with the rest of the actual critical cases backlogging in the Court Rooms.

Some artist abuse their skills in the name of freedom. Artist and public figures should know their barrier as they are accountable to the public. They should have shown restrain.

Pardoning Hussain is not in my territory, but as an Indian, I think he should be pardoned after getting assurance of painting only artistics ones and not to stir controversies.

He is an artist and should be judged by his artistry. U cannot judge a person by his art. He is only portraying as per his imagination, sensitivity and understanding. His work is accepted worldwide.
He maybe tried for any wrong done by him, as per existing laws. But he should not be punished for his art. Let a group of international artists and intellectuals try to judge his art and its moral repurcussions on society. Yet he should not be punished, unless a law/ rule exists that make it punishable.

India is a free democratic country and every man is entitled to his own opinions so long as it does not amount to treason (you can also openly support terrorists vocally in the manner the LTTE is being supported by some individuals. I AM NOT SUGGESTING THAT ANYONE ENCOURAGE TERRORISM.) Why should anyone have a problem with M.F. Hussain and the manner in which he expresses himself? If you have a problem with his paintings, don't view them.
