Should John Walker Lindh's sentence be commuted?

Given that David Hicks got a 9-month sentence and their charges were practically the same? Objectively, do you think that this reflects an imbalance of justice?
Answer:
Yes I do think so. I think at the time (close to 9/11) things were viewed differently. It was sort of like the communist scare back in the 50's. If you resembled anything close to a terrorist, you get a harsh sentence. But now, we can look at this more clearly. Johnny Walker didn't really know what was really going on. However what he did was wrong. He was a Taliban member fighting against the Afghanistan government. There was a lot of things that were unclear, and he was a prisoner at the time U.S. forces caught him. I think a judge with help from a panel, should make a judgment at what his state of mind is right now, and see if he thinks he is safe to go back into society. If he is, then he should get a reduced sentence, or let go immediately. If he's not, they should give him parole every 2 yrs.
No parole. He should have gotten the death sentence.
No. They were two separate incidences with two separate trials. John Walker Lindh was a Taliban terrorist who pleaded guilty. He got what he deserved.
Yes. To a firing squad.
personally i think they should have hung them both.
