Should judges be elected?

Answer:
I don't think so... Judges are supposed to, while it doesn't always work that way, remain impartial to the political process. The last thing I would want is to see campaigns for the Supreme Court with judges vowing to to vote one way or another if a case is brought before them. It takes away the perception that judges will be objective and openminded to every case and make judgments based on their intellect, conscience, and above all, the Constiutution, not so they will be reelected. It would be very dangerous if we had judges making rulings so that they would be able to keep their seat on the court.
I was under the impression that judges are elected for the most part. I think you mean federal judges and no I dont think they should be elected. Voting as it is seems to be too much responsibility for people.
The other options judges appointed by politicians with their own agenda or
Judges for life...not neccesarily a good thing
No, its too hard even for informed people to properly elect judges and the job is more of a profession, since judges should be following the law created by the representatives than being political themselves.
